We have two Sunday worship services, that have
two different “flavors”. The first service
could be described as blended,
quieter, and more reflective, the second
is more edgy,
expressive and vibrant. Neither
service is “better than the other”, but allows people
to choose the service which best fits the personality/culture/taste. It
also provides two different settings to invite un-churched friends
to.
Though we have two “flavors” we have one vision. As
a congregation we are on a mission to make more Christians while
at the same time we are becoming better Christians. Our
different worship preferences don’t distract us from our
unified vision.
About Our Vision…
(Vision: a picture of a preferable future)
We envision More
Christians, Better Christians. What
else is there?
About Our Mission…
(Mission: the way we go about
getting the job done)
The
River of Grace exists to transform people into a loving community
of outwardly focused followers of Jesus.

This could be stated in three words: Changing,
Sharing and Serving. This mission is rooted in Romans 12
and is our way of trying to get the job done.
About Our Leadership…
We practice a leadership strategy that entrusts
to the Elders the authority for overseeing the church. Our
Elders have delegated ongoing leadership to full time pastors
who are called, gifted and trained. Specific ongoing ministry
oversight is delegated to both paid staff and volunteer ministry
leaders.

About Our Values…
(Values: what
we identify as most important… )
Don’t
let the order scare you. We start where people are at,
and use the sacred text of the Bible to learn/teach about God
and the mission he has for us.
Everyone matters,
belongs, and contributes.
Scripture reveals, guides and inspires.
God is trusted, served and enjoyed.
Mission adapts, sacrifices, and endures.
About Our History…
As described on the home page, The River of Grace
is RoG is young, eclectic, multi-generational, evangelical,
historic, multi-denominational, curious, devoted, imperfect,
biblical, spiritual, broken, hungry and most of the time fun.
But RoG is also a “merged” church. In
October of 2005, two different congregations came together to
form RoG. Grace Bible Fellowship has been in existence
since the early 90’s and The River Church was started
in 2002. But we can do more together than we can do apart,
and since Jesus wants his church family to be united, well it
made sense. You’re welcomed to join us as we journey
into the history God is writing through us.
