Foundations for a Better Life takes you on a journey into a joy-filled, meaningful, healthy life that impacts others for good. However, this journey does not begin with a healthy life. This is a journey about people who, having got caught up in the slippery slopes of addictions and abuse, overcome addictions mentoring others to a new life. Counselors from His Mansion will assist in this course.
- Week 1: Jesus Christ, our Standard for Wholeness.
- Week 2: Substitutes: the slippery slope to addictions.
- Week 3: Mental, Physical, Spiritual and Relational Consequences.
- Week 4: Finding My Way Back – Overcoming Addictions.
- Week 5: Can I Now Be A Guide For You?
- Week 6: Staying Healthy.
- Week 7: Pursuing God and His Plan.
Class Resources: Staff from His Mansion will be guest instructors for selected classes with residents sharing brief testimonies, and Teen Challenge
Jack is licensed as a clinical mental health counselor in New Hampshire, and provides individual, marital and family counseling at his Laconia office and in the Seacoast at Crossroads Counseling Center. Marriage counseling is a major focus of his practice. Jack and his wife, Mary, moved to New Hampshire 5 years ago from Illinois. They have a 23 year old daughter, Lauren. She and her husband, Alex, live in Illinois where she is currently attending Graduate school.
